Working with hospital and ICU leaders and other stakeholders, Critical Care Designs, LLC will map out the current critical care situation and then address ICU organization. This may include conversion of stand-alone ICUs to departments, centers or institutes, creation of new staffing models including CCM advanced practitioner teams (NPs and PAs); shifting from private practice/voluntary ICU clinicians to full-time intensivists; moving ICUs from open models to hybrid or closed units; designing advanced ICU informatics platforms (i.e., remote monitoring and alarm management) and introducing point of care testing (POCT).
